The rumors are true . . .

In response to Petes comment to my 03/03 post. . . It is true. We have closed. It all went down in a 4 hour marathon closing on Friday. We had the truck and trailer backed up by 6:30 pm and had everything unloaded into the gay-raj or the house by about 9:30 pm. Thanks to everybody who had a hand in it, (you know who you are).

As it happens... i am updating this blog from Petes house, (he doesnt know i'm here). We are removing the scivies and assorted accutriments, (Beemer included), from the premisis. Thanks again guys for letting us shack up with you.

I will fill in some blanks with pictures when I get a second.

We were just informed that a C of O has been issued. We now actually have a time of day scheduled for closing, (noon tomorrow). The previous six scheduled closings merely narrowed it down to the day. I think it has a good chance of actually happening this time. Posted by Hello

We still await the C of O. I have a reasonable degree of confidence that we will close tomorrow. However, I am not putting the 3 pairs of skivies i have to my name in the back pack until I get the call that its go time. Interestingly, somebody "broke" into the house recently. Chrissy, the builders daugher, (thats not her real name but she reminds me so much of that girl from three's company), accused us of the deed. In the words of Shaggy, i can safely say, "It wasn't me." No for real it wasn't.  Posted by Hello

Some pictures of the townhouse that we sold in mid February.

As of today... we are going on 15 days of being homeless. I tell people that we are living out of a cardboard box behind the K-Mart, but that's not actually true. You see our good friends Juli and Pete have been good enough to put us up for a bit.

You know what they say though, "fish and guests smell after three days." Well, its getting ripe. Oh sure, our hosts are putting a good face on it, but it must be torture. You see, I have become accustomed to living with tracy. That is a skill, however, that takes years of constant needling to acquire. Sad to say, i have had the opportunity to perfect it. I think tracy even stopped up the toilet and then tried to blame it on me. I cannot imagine that Juli and Pete will last much longer. Pretty soon we will be making the rounds imposing on all our friends for a few days. Begging for scrapps of food. It could happen.

According to Crappy Larry, the new house is done. "Done" is a funny word though. It can mean so many things. Unfortunately, it means a different thing to Crappy Larry than it does to me. You see, Crappy Larry thinks "done" means, no carpet upstairs, no railings or treads on the front steps, no back steps at all, and water that has kryptonite in it. He said it was "done" three weeks ago, (before we sold our house).

I have been up to the hacienda de hoo-stay-see-ya very recently. Now, it does appear to be "done." All we need now is certificate of occupancy and a wheel barrow full of cash to put this to bed.
